Ever since Aari McDonald moved to the Indiana Fever, she is a different beast. Let it be her performances on the court do the talking or shutting down wild ‘lame’ comments on her, she is not backing down.
Former ESPN writer Jason Whitlock was on the receiving end of the Fever guard’s wrath. While he made a bold comment on her appearance, the star quickly fired back, and the fanbase took notice.
Aari McDonald Gives Strong Response To Jason Whitlock’s Comments
The 26-year-old player is flourishing in the absence of Caitlin Clark. Starting in 11 of the 18 games played, the star has already played a massive role in the franchise’s push for the postseason. Her teammates lauded her impact, and HC Stephanie White acknowledged her gameplay.
But the 58-year-old sports analyst took the topic of her appearance. Expressing his thoughts on social media he posted, “Any female WNBA fans give me an opinion on Aari McDonlad’s Wig? Looks crazy to me. But I’m no expert.”
The Aari McDonald lost no time responding to his question and shared her views.
“LOL I usually don’t respond to foolishness like this, but I couldn’t help myself this time. You’re very lame for commenting on a woman’s appearance and for your information it’s not a wig. Don’t make me get @stephenasmith. Stay blessed,” She replied to Whitelock’s post.

There are two important points to notice here. First, the comment on ‘wig’ was not actually a wig, as the player herself explained the ‘newly done hairs’ a few days ago on Instagram. The second one is a known feud between the two ESPN employees – Stephen A Smith and Jason Whitelock.
The 58-year-old criticized Smith’s reporting style. On the other hand, the ‘First Take’ host questioned Whitelock’s integrity as a journalist. In a single response, the former Arizona star covered ‘all the bases’, leaving the writer speechless.
