The Indiana Fever team prides itself on being a family, and every now and then, they highlight their strong bond, on and off the court. While Aari McDonald was injured, Makayla Timpson carried her to the bus, which won over the guard.
Caitlin Clark also filled in for the injured star and had a special moment with the Arizona Wildcats players when the Fever team played the Valkyries.
Aari McDonald thanked Clark for the heartwarming AAU moment. However, she is now specially invited by the Arizona side on November 21, with no mention of the event.
What Are Aari McDonald, Arizona Wildcats Up TO?
Following an impressive 2025 WNBA campaign with the Indiana Fever, which included a commissioner’s Cup title, the 27-year-old player is working on her rehab and also enjoying occasional public appearances with her Fever teammates.

But the Arizona Wildcats, her alma mater, has a special invitation for her, with a twist, and the player is excited for it. Replying to the invitation, McDonald wrote, “Not if you got something fun planned… What’s up?” with a ‘wide-eyed’ emoji.

The Arizona Basketball replied with a “just curious” comment, keeping the secrecy of the event. Many fans are guessing that the Arizona side will retire her jersey on November 21,
While the explosive guard made herself available for the event, we all know how she handles the ‘surprises’. Her recent outing with her Indiana Fever teammates highlighted her actual mystery-handling capabilities.
Aari McDonald Terrified At Haunted House
Fearless on the floor but terrified in the haunted house – would be a perfect description for the 27-year-old guard. While the Fever players were at the haunted house during the Halloween period, the player couldn’t handle surprises on the tour and tried to stay with the group. She even tried to hide behind Lexie Hull, which was a hilarious act, and fans loved her for her simplicity.

On the floor, though, she continued to impress the spectators with her skills and energy. The Athletic’s analyst suggested that the Indiana Fever must re-sign McDonald to keep Clark happy in the 2026 season. Though that decision is again a mystery for fans, she will be in action in the Unrivaled league in January.
For now, many would be interested in what the Arizona program has to offer for its alumni.
