Caitlin Clark was not active for the game against the Golden State Valkyries, but she made her presence felt by meeting with the fans and fellow Iowa teammates during the game. Clark even met an NFL star, George Kittle.
But she did a special favor for her Fever teammate, Aari McDonald, who is also sidelined due to injury and couldn’t attend the game. The 27-year-old guard thanked CC for her gesture.

In every Indiana Fever game, fans await an update on the 2024 rookie guard’s return. But the franchise keeps it safe and pushes ahead with her return time to ensure Clark’s 100% recovery. The player attends every Fever game in every arena and greets fans, giving them autographs.

Aari McDonald’s AAU team attended the Valkyries vs Fever game. The team, residing in Sacramento, had a special moment with the Fever superstar. Before tip-off, Clark posed for a group photo with the young players. The future stars were excite d to meet and share a frame with the WNBA’s mega star.
Aari McDonald reposted a video of Clark’s moment with her AAU team on her Instagram Stories. She also wrote, “Thank you @caitlinclark for making my girls’ night. Bummed I couldn’t be there, but s/o to my teammates for taking a picture with my aau team.”
The mid-season acquisition by the Indiana Fever made a massive impact on the game during Clark’s absence and earned an end-of-season contract before her injury. She averaged 9.8 points and 4.7 assists per game, helping the side keep the winning momentum in the season. She also contributed heavily to the Commissioner’s Cup win.

Caitlin Clark’s Return Still In Doubt, With The Fever Playoff Qualification In Limbo
Stephanie White put forward some prerequisites to ensure the superstar guard’s return. After gaining some momentum in their postseason qualification scenario, fans were less worried about CC’s return. But a loss against the Valkyries put them in eighth position (later moved up to seventh after Strom’s loss) with very little margin for error.
Still, the Fever team is not ready to risk its prized asset in the game and kept her status ‘questionable’ for the game against the Phoenix Mercury. Also, there is no fixed timetable for the rookie guard’s return, raising questions over whether the player will play in the 2025 season or not.
They have four games left in the regular season and have just a 1.5-game advantage over the ninth-seed Los Angeles Sparks.
