The WNBA put forward a proposal that raises all compensation numbers to match the WNBPA’s demands. While the earlier proposals also had higher numbers, the players’ association rejected them on the grounds of revenue sharing. Napheesa Collier even gave Caitlin Clark’s example to simplify the demand for ‘more’.
While the new proposal includes a change in the revenue-sharing model, it remains pending with the WNBPA. Meanwhile, Adam Silver put his stamp on the massive rise in popularity, lauding the Indiana Fever and its 2024 rookie in particular.

Adam Silver Praises Caitlin Clark
The players’ association eyes a share in the league’s increased revenue, which has seen a significant surge over the past two years. While the Indiana Fever takes credit for a major chunk of this improved fame, CC is at the heart of all the gains.
Recently, speaking with FDSNI, Adm. Silver pinpointed the rise and praised Fever Guard. He said, “To see the popularity of Caitlin (Clark), to see the Fever exploding in popularity — not just here in Indianapolis, Indiana, but globally — it’s remarkable.”

The thought of highlighting ‘global impact’ has one more point, as WNBA Europe League is in serious discussions and could launch alongside NBA Europe in 2027. So, praising the 24-year-old, the NBA Commissioner makes his intentions clear amid the CBA talks. Fans might see one more revised proposal with even higher compensation values if the WNBPA rejects the current proposal.

And once again, at the heart of this is the former Iowa star, who also received applause from her President for her impact.
Indiana Fever President Kelly Krauskopf Declares Caitlin Clark’s Explosion
Kelly Krauskopf was on the latest episode of the IndyStar project’s “Only woman in the room”, as she discussed her plans after returning to the position from the Pacers. In the exclusive interview, she reflected on the first championship and the recent near miss, applauding the 2024 rookie.

“Let’s be honest. Caitlin Clark is the explosion of the WNBA. The lift has come with her arrival,” Krauskopf said. “It always takes one or two players to take that next lift. And for us and for the league, it’s been Caitlin and the fan base that she’s brought.”
As for Caitlin Clark, she missed the majority of the 2025 season due to injury and recently confirmed her fitness. She will be playing in the USA’s qualification games for the FIBA World Cup, and, according to an analyst, Clark could star for the national team.
