The Indiana Fever’s every player, apart from the injured ones, is still active on the court or has a competitive basketball game in their schedule. Most of the players will play in the Unrivaled league or in the Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball league.
Overseas opportunities include Brianna Turner bagging a contract with the Perth Lynx in WBL, while Mikayla Timpson and Aerial Powers are playing in the EuroLeague.
While Turner, Timpson, and Powers are currently active on the floor, the midseason acquisition guard met with an injury in a game and shared an update on social media. As per her update, the star had an injury to her index finger.
Aerial Powers Shares Update About Her Injury
Playing for the Turkish Club Canakkale Belediyespor, the veteran guard suffered a finger injury. Playing against Fenerbahce in the Turkish Women’s Basketball League, the explosive scorer recorded 26 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists before the injury and ended up on the losing side.

She shared a video on social media showing her finger as she said, “Y’all, we had a game today, and I messed up my finger more than it’s already messed up. Look at this. Look at this. Aah!” she exclaimed while showing her swollen right index finger.

The player looked ‘ok’ with the injury and will look to suit up for the next game. But the right-handed player might miss a few games following the injury, even though there is no clarity over the damage yet.
In the WNBA, the 31-year-old guard provided much-needed backup and firepower to the Indiana Fever team. Reflecting on her time at the Fever franchise, Powers thanked superstar Caitlin Clark for welcoming her to the lineup.

The energetic and elite scorer was a perfect fit for the team, keeping up the spirit and tempo in the game. GM Amber Cox even reacted to Powers’ epic chest-bump moment with Stephanie White. But for the player, it was very touching to feel welcomed in the star-studded roster.
During her final days at the facilities, she taped many clips with her teammates and especially thanked Clark for her “welcoming” nature and detailed how she had a great time. “I also want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making me feel welcome,” Powers said.
The player is currently an unrestricted free agent, and many analysts see her as a perfect fit for the expansion team, considering her experience and gameplay.
