Surely, the Fever is having a nightmarish season at the moment. Entering the league, Indiana boasted one of the strongest sides in the ‘W’. But things soon went awry with Clark struggling with her groin. And soon, the likes of Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald, and more joined the injury list. Thus, to rejuvenate the depleted roster, Powers has been included on the side, and she looks pretty charged up.

The Indiana Fever recently confirmed the signing of Aerial Powers on their social channels. According to reports, the team has signed Powers to a 7-day hardship contract. With Cunningham’s injury update suggesting an MCL issue, the 31-year-old is expected to fill in the 28-year-old guard’s shoes.
Immediately after the announcement, Powers took to social media and could not contain her excitement. Sharing the news, she detailed how blessed she was feeling to have joined the Fever. Well, it is pretty much evident from her reaction that Powers is eagerly looking forward to proving her worth for the Fever. And a look at her career stats also indicates that she can come in handy for Kelsey Mitchell and co. Till now, the 31-year-old has played nine seasons in the WNBA. She has been averaging 10.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Meanwhile, in the absence of Cunningham, Powers might just be the new ‘enforcer.’
