The Indiana Fever vs the Los Angeles Sparks regular-season game at the Crypto.com Arena had a lot of exciting moments for both teams. The hosts had a strong lead right from the start, but the visitors crawled back for a 76-75 win. Apart from officiating, Lexie Hull’s close-up with her injury effects caught many eyes. But one moment involving Fever guard Aerial Powers and Sparks’ forward Cameron Brink was also hilarious.
The guard highlighted the moment while celebrating the massive win over the Sparks on her Instagram story, tagging the 23-year-old rookie. She also shared photos and videos of her plays from the game.
Aerial Powers Trolls Cameron Brink For Her Defensive Play
The Indiana Fever were down and out until their last two wins. They defeated the Seattle Storm and, with a win over the Sparks, nearly set one foot in the 2025 WNBA playoffs. The LA team needed the win and had a 3-0 season series lead over the Indiana franchise. The officiating was once more questionable. Cameras even caught Caitlin Clark’s frustration with the refs after the Fever win.

But her team put in their 100% (maybe more than that) to clinch the all-important win. One such hard-fighting incident happened when the 5-foot-11 Aerial Powers went against the 6-foot-4 Cameron Brink to win a position. On the defense, the 2024 rookie tried to reach the ball but ended up hugging the 31-year-old guard.
While referees called the jump ball, the 2019 champion was smiling and patted the Spark’s forward. She even shared the moment on her Instagram story and wrote, “@cameronbrink22 why was you tryna cuddle me! Happy to see you healthy sis!” with smiley and heart emojis.

Brink returned from a horrific ACL injury and is trying to get the three-time champions back into the playoffs after missing the same last season. The Fever guard’s post shows her hilarious side, and also her love for the young forward. The player on a hardship contract was efficient in the game, though.
Aerial Powers And Odyssey Sims Contribute Heavily In Win
Due to multiple injuries, the Indiana Fever is heavily reliant on the players signed on a hardship contract. Aari McDonald was a great find who earned an extended contract, while recent additions to the guard position also proved handy in recent games.
Odyssey Sims, in particular, was very impactful, taking over the starting guard role. Her explosive scoring and clutch plays were effective for Steohanie White’s team. Against the Sparks, the 33-year-old guard scored the Fever’s last five points in the closely fought contest. She finished with 21 points and six rebounds.
Powers was also very impactful with her plays. She led the Fever bench with six rebounds and scored nine points in the 15 minutes of playtime. She also had two assists in the game, helping the offense keep flowing.
