On Wednesday night, Wilson reached a historic WNBA milestone. The South Carolina-born scored a career high 5000 points in the Aces’ 85-59 win over the Sun. Additionally, she became the fastest to reach this WNBA record in the fewest games.
A’ja Wilson Reaches Record 5,000 Career Points With Fewest Games
There was something quite special about A’ja Wilson’s historic WNBA feat. She has achieved this milestone in only 238 games. With this, Wilson has broken the previous record of Breanna Stewart, who reached this record in 242 games.
However, this historic record was set during a game against the Connecticut Sun on June 25, 2025. Wilson scored 22 points in the game, making a total record of 5015 points in her career.
The Aces were unstoppable against the Sun. They opened the game with a 19-0 lead and led this lead to a well-deserved victory. During the game, Jackie Young poured in 20 points while Chelsea Gray flirted with a triple-double. Additionally, Jewell Loyd did her part and added 13.

With this achievement, Wilson has joined the elite class of players like Diana Taurasi and Angel McCoughtry. She now ranks just behind Taj McWilliams-Franklin on the league’s all-time scoring list.
