Campaigns are popping, and celebrations in Vegas indicate the significance of the 2025 WNBA championship for the team. Their Championship parade speeches were full of pride and also an answer to their critics, especially when Becky Hammon, A’ja Wilson, and other vets took over the mic.
Hammon dropped a bold warning for doubters while accepting the Las Vegas Aces’ underdog role. She mentioned that, irrespective of the team’s regular-season finish, no one can count them out of the championship race. The superstar forward and Finals MVP has similar sentiments as she took the help of social media to express her feelings.
A’ja Wilson Fires Shots At Critics
The 2025 Las Vegas Aces team cemented its legacy as one of the greatest teams of recent history, with the core of the side winning three championships in the last four seasons. While the side was a dominant force in the regular season and even in the playoffs, many put a question mark over their potential to go all the way. The reigning MVP had a special message for them as she shared a post on the thread.

“Sometimes I just randomly chuckle at all the 💩 that was said about me and my team this season 😂😂,” Wilson wrote in her post.
“Egg on A LOT of ppl’s faces 😌 I love it,” She later added in a thread.

A’ja Wilson Gives Credit To Becky Hammon For The 2025 WNBA Championship
Even though the 29-year-old delivered the complete masterclass in the title chase and earned the 2025 WNBA Finals MVP accolade, she gave the credit to her HC, Becky Hammon, who guided them to the third title in four seasons.
“When you’re talking about a woman that pours into you, that sacrifices for you, that loves you for who you are, that’s that motherf***king Becky Hammon did. She believed in us when no one did. She brought us back to life. And I’m so appreciative of what you do and how you pour into each and every one of us. We go nowhere without Becky Hammon,” said Wilson.

The American-Russian coach joined the Aces in 2021 and won three WNBA championships along with a Commissioner’s Cup title. Her WNBA playoff record is incredible, and she has lost only two games so far in the Finals.
While analyst Stephen A. Smith advocated for Hammon to lead an NBA team, the coach is currently enjoying a massive success with the Aces and intends to continue with the side in the future.
