Appreciating her for her incredible showing, Aces head coach Becky Hammon compared Wilson to Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
Well, while Hammon has already heaped praises on Wilson, it was now time for the Aces star to recognize her head coach’s contributions. And the 29-year-old star pulled off an emotional tribute during their championship parade.

The hype around the Las Vegas Aces’ championship parade was quite significant. After all, this was their third championship in four seasons. But things were not all rosy for the Aces right from the start. In fact, in the first half of the season, most critics ruled Las Vegas out of the playoff contention. Looking at her team’s sorry state, it was Hammon who instilled belief and transformed the Aces into a champion squad.
“When you’re talking about a woman that pours into you, that sacrifices for you, that loves you for who you are, that’s that motherf***king Becky Hammon. d she believed in us when no one did. She brought us back to life. And I’m so appreciative of what you do and how you pour into each and every last one of us. We go nowhere without Becky Hammon,” said Wilson.

Well, Hammon does deserve every bit of the credit given to her. After suffering a humiliating defeat to the Indiana Fever, the Aces were down and out, suffering a 53-point loss to the Minnesota Lynx. And it was from here that Las Vegas won 16 regular-season games to clinch the second seed. Meanwhile, Wilson is not the only person to heap praises on Hammon. Nalyssa Smith recently reflected on the Aces’ head coach’s perfect coaching balance.

Nalyssa Smith Points Out One Major Positive Point Of Becky Hammon’s Coaching
Soon after the Aces made a dream turnaround, compliments started pouring in for Hammon. For example, Stephen A. Smith advocated for Hammon to coach an NBA side. Now, shining further light on Hammon’s coaching technique, Smith pointed out one particular aspect that a lot of coaches miss. And that is how to push a player just enough to make her attain greatness.
“She [Becky Hammon] just has a great balance of knowing how to push her players and then just always motivating you and always telling you all the positive things. I think, sometimes, a lot of coaches, they forget that you have to have that balance, or you’ll lose your players. Becky does a tremendous job always just building everybody up regardless of the situation,” said Smith.
Thus, it is evident that Hammon has garnered a lot of eyeballs at the moment. Now, it remains to be seen what happens next. The fans in Las Vegas could expect another thrilling season coming next year.
