The 2025 WNBA season had been incredible for A’ja Wilson, with the star winning all the major titles on the court and off the court, having a ‘flourishing’ and healthy relationship with her boyfriend, Bam Adebayo. The Miami Heat star also showed his support and love for the Aces’ forward, as Adebayo recently honored her wearing her signature shoe during the game against the Warriors.
But ‘everything is not green’ for the megastar as she was included in a weird ‘baby-making’ question by Rachel Nichols. Wilson hit back at the famed presenter.

A’ja Wilson Hits Back At Rachel Nichols For Weird ‘Baby Making’ Question
Answering Time’s reporter, Sean Gregory, asked the former South Carolina star about her relationship with the NBA star and questioned her about the marriage date. Wilson honestly opened up about starting a family.
Things got weird after that as Nichols asked reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, “[Wilson] was like, ‘We want to have kids together.’ And someone joked that [Thunder GM] Sam Presti would be at the sonogram if they had kids together. Is he that much of a scout?” Nichols asked SGA, per a Threads post from @backcourtalerts.”

While the idea behind the question was praising the ‘young team’ for their achievements and talent. But Wilson and Adebayo took it in another way as the WNBA star commented, “Yall don’t think this a lil strange orrrr weird..??? But I guess it’s a slow day in the office 😐”.

Both stars have the right to remain private about their personal life, and their response was in line with their right. Professionally, though, the star is having a great season and added another accolade, which was missing from her illustrious resume.
A’ja Wilson Wins AP Female Athlete Of The Year 2025
On the work front, the star won her record fourth MVP title and also led the league in scoring (second consecutive season) and blocks (fifth time in her career). While she was an influential star for the Aces, leading the side to its third title in four years, accolades continued to come her way.
Even after her previous achievements, she never won the AP Female Athlete of the Year award, but her 2025 performance landed her the honor.

Interestingly, she is only the fifth WNBA star to win the award after Sheryl Swoopes, Candace Parker, Rebecca Lobo, and Caitlin Clark.
