Recently, on a Kelsey Kelce’s podcast, the star talked about another moment where she couldn’t control her emotions, and it was during her shoe sale.
A’ja Wilson Revealed Her Reaction After Selling Out Shoe Line
The former South Carolina star’s first signature shoe launch was in early 2025. She shared her excitement about the first shoe sale in March. The sale was open for fans in May, and incidentally, it sold out in just five minutes, which made her emotional.

“When I saw it, I really started crying, only because I couldn’t believe it. I was so nervous, and when it was sold out, I was just balling, crying because I could not believe that finally, this shoe is shared with the world,” Wilson explained her emotions after the news.
She mentioned that she didn’t want to be up at the time of release and had purposefully tried to sleep, but right after release, she was up and received the ‘sold out’ news.

“I said all right let me tighten up but my eyes were not saying that so Chelsea was like put your goggles on when no one’s talking to you and I said you’re right so in my mind I was like yeah I’m like when I put these goggles on they do not see me. The camera was supposed to pan like to someone else, but it didn’t. It stayed on me, and I’m like, that’s not what I asked for,” Wilson explained in a podcast.
The forward mentioned that it didn’t work in reality, as cameras were still on her for the whole interview, and rewatching it cracked the 2025 champion.
