The Las Vegas Aces indeed held all the Aces against the Connecticut Sun. Cruising to a 94-86 victory, the Aces capitalized fully on a bottom-placed, struggling Connecticut. And with A’ja Wilson in fiery form, the task for Vegas became all the easier.
With the victory, Las Vegas now has 18 wins and 14 losses. Placed at number six, the team is fancying every chance to qualify for the playoffs. However, despite the dominant victory, A’ja Wilson doesn’t want to be carried away. Instead, the 29-year-old has sent a crucial message to her team.
A’ja Wilson Wants To Keep Things Grounded Despite An Emphatic Win
It was Wilson’s night at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas. With an outstanding display of aggression and skill, the 29-year-old dropped 32 points. Flexing her basketball muscles, she added 13-for-25 shooting numbers from the field. And that was not all. Also, the Columbia-born Aces center added 20 rebounds, five assists, and a couple of steals.
With such phenomenal play, A’ja Wilson became part of a rare WNBA feat. She is the first player in the history of the league to score 30 points and 20 rebounds in one single game. Meanwhile, despite such a showing, the WNBA Veteran sounded pretty grounded after the game.
“We got the win, we got the dub, but the work still has to be done. But it’s a good one to get one at the house in front of these amazing fans,” said Wilson.

Since the Las Vegas Aces are only 2.5 games inside the top eight, Wilson surely has a point. However, their current form is pretty impressive. Thanks to their Veteran Center’s impressive gameplay, the Aces have now won four games in a row. However, another noteworthy thing is that this was not the only time that Wilson bailed her team out of danger.
