HC And Teammates Shower Praise On A’ja Wilson For Incredible Feat
As much as the former champion was surprised by the record, HC Becky Hammon showed no excitement. She rather saw it coming and mentioned that it would have happened earlier. The coach added that the team is working on using the franchise’s leading scorer a bit away from the board.
While HC was ‘cool’ with the record, Aces’ guard Jackie Young was super excited. She praised Wilson’s hard work for the accomplishment.
“Every night she shows up, and I think that’s why she’s so great at what she does. She’s a super hard worker, so it’s cool to see her hard work pay off. At the same time, they’re bringing double teams to her, triple teams to her, and she’s having to navigate that and play out of it. She’s still able to put up insane numbers every night,” Young told reporters.

The Aces are on track for a postseason appearance and will face defending champions New York Liberty next.
