The Las Vegas Aces had been underdogs at the start of the season and finished the season as champions. A’ja Wilson played a key role in this turnaround, winning nearly all the titles in the process and cementing her legacy in the league.
Wilson won the TIME Magazine Player of the Year award for the first time in her career. While the player is at the top of her game and leading the league across multiple stats, Vogue magazine did a cover story on the superstar.

A’ja Wilson Features In Vogue Magazine
After a successful year, every magazine, media house, and even critics are praising the former South Carolina star. Forbes included her in the most influential players list, while critics named her ‘GOAT’ in the league, comparing her with Michael Jordan.
Vogue magazine also did a cover story on the megastar, but unearths the personal perspectives of the star too, as Wilson mentioned, “I’m the type of person and leader where I might seem cool, calm, and collected on the outside, but on the inside I’m human. My nerves are there”

On the court, the player will also receive a huge uplift from her franchise following her massive season, and the new CBA deal has a lot to deal with it.
A’ja Wilson To Get Supermax Contract
The WNBA and WNPBA agreed to a transformative new collective bargaining agreement. Players would benefit from the same with a mega package and performance bonuses added to the offer. The super max value is now staggering $1.4 million, which is nearly equal to the salary cap of the franchises in 2025.
While there are a few ‘irreplaceable’ players in every franchise, Wilson is expected to sign the first supermax contract under the new terms. According to reports from Callie Fin of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Wilson will re-sign with the Las Vegas Aces on a deal worth $1.4 million annually.
