The Atlanta Dream is now flying high with confidence following a strong offseason move. The side added key players at various positions and held on to the core of Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard and co. to challenge for the title. With that, the team ranks among the top five sides in the 2026 season and is a strong contender for the championship.
Amid this, the players are forming bonds with each other, looking to be as effective and impactful as possible, understanding each other on the floor. To fast-track this connection, the franchise is also pushing its off-court connections.
Amid this, a reporter asked the prolific guard about her willingness to learn Spanish to communicate with the new addition, Maite Cazorla. The veteran guard gave a hilarious reaction to the same.

Allisha Gray Responds To Spanish Learning
The WNBA season is upon us, and new faces in various teams are looking to impress to stay in the league. As the coaches mentioned, chemistry and communication are key to selection for the team. When the reporter asked Spanish sensation Cazorla about her difficulties communicating with her teammates, she said she is ready to teach them Spanish to improve understanding.
When the reporter took the message to Gray, she smiled and showed her Spanish knowledge with a few words like Gracias and Adios. Everyone laughed at the 30-year-old guard’s witty answer.
I asked Dream’s Allisha Gray if she’d be willing to learn Spanish as her teammate Maite Cazorla can teach her and she told me she already knows some Spanish: pic.twitter.com/fRLeY4xLWN

The team, though, is looking to make the most of the current opportunity with multiple All-Stars and impactful players ready to combine for the first title in Atlanta.
One player who impressed greatly and is certain to upgrade the performance of the side is Angel Reese, who, as per the former South Carolina guard, is the missing piece from the side.
Allisha Gray Sees Angel Reese As Key Contributor For Atlanta Dream
The league knows what Reese can bring when she’s on the floor, and the Dream GM quickly pounced on the opportunity to bring her to the franchise.
In an interview with ESPN’s Kendra Andrews, Grey said, “She fills a lot of holes for us. A lot of people look at her as just a rebounder but she’s more than that. She can defend the ball, get the ball and take it the full 94 feet. She can score in transition and hit the 15-foot short jump. There is so much to her game, and I feel like with Angel, adding her to this team, it’s what we were missing.”
"I do believe that Angel is the missing piece that we need to take us over the top."
