The WNBA realm has been rattled. After a long deliberation, the league’s poster girl finally delivered the dreaded news herself. Cailtin Clark announced recently that she will not be returning to live action for the remainder of the season. Such an announcement led even LeBron James to deliver an inspiring message to Clark. But despite all the positive messages, fans remain extremely disappointed. And Fever GM Amber Cox was prompt to address the situation.
Clark out of the league meant the Fever slumped further in the league. Plagued by injuries, the team is already struggling to make the playoffs. However, keeping the long-term vision in mind, the decision was an important one to avoid any permanent damage.
