According to the WNBA star, she was told by her previous agency that the highest she could make from basketball was $2000. But with Ogbonnaya coming in, things have changed rapidly. And that is pretty much evident from how Reese’s signature shoes have been a massive hit.
“I know what we have is so special. We can continue to build this to be something that nobody has ever seen is important. So I don’t need to, you know, to do that for me. I think my goal is to build a brand for her that can withstand well past her playing days. If I have done that, my job is done right like that,” Ogbonnaya stated, speaking about her relationship with Reese.

Etan Thomas Criticizes Angel Reese For Her Recent Comments
The Chicago Sky and Reese recently had a dismal outing in the WNBA. Lingering at the bottom, the team failed to live up to the high expectations of the fans. And as Reese encountered the same question, her reply set the WNBA realm on fire. The 23-year-old pointed out that most of her teammates should not be coming back for next year, except for Kamilla Cardoso. Reese also stated that the Sky front office must bring in quality players next season or she would have to consider exploring other options. And all such comments did not sit well with Etan Thomas.
“I would say as a rule, I would say that you never talk bad about your teammates to the media,” He said. “I would say that a better way to say the same exact message that she was conveying would have been, ‘We need to get better, we have to do better next year’. We cannot and use ‘we’ over and over again,” said Michael Jordan’s former teammate, Thomas.
