Angel Reese Positive About Future With Atlanta Dream
The 2025 season had a dramatic ending for the Chicago Sky franchise following the 2024 rookie’s public criticism and suspension. Although the organization and player confirmed their ‘healthy’ relationship, the eventual trade closed the chapter.
As for the two-time WNBA All-Star, it was a dramatic move as she shared her feelings on social media after the move. And for the first time, she opened up about her new journey while speaking to People Magazine. Reese said, “I was so excited when I finally found out. The team has welcomed me so much, the atmosphere, the culture … I’m so excited to be in A-Town.”

Social media was flooded with mixed reactions to the mega trade as the Sky supporters blamed the front office for letting another mega star leave the team, and Dream fans showed their excitement. The franchise’s COO, Morgan Shaw Parker, gave her honest opinion
In a recent interview, Parker said, “Fans have said it best. I have a stat here that is wild, nearly 100% positive fan sentiment across every social media, every media outlet, they love her. Reese would make a massive impact on the court with her control over the board, and also her popularity would benefit the team off the court, too.
