The Chicago Sky looked for a ‘redemption season’ with a new coach and the same core of Angel Reese-Kamilla Cardoso. Sadly, the plan didn’t work, as they finished with 10 wins in the season. Amid this ‘failure’, one player who shone in the season was the seventh pick of the 2024 WNBA draft.
The player even played in the USA training camp, as Reese mentioned that she “takes a lot of things from other people“, which emphasizes her urge to grow. But a social media post highlighted her achievements in the 2025 season, both on and off the court.

The Chi-Town Barbie faced a lot of criticism for missing the playoffs and also criticizing her teammates in the season. The player chose to stay out of the media and work silently on her projects. Her plan in the offseason worked as she made history on multiple fronts.
A recent social media post highlights her achievements in 2025, including becoming the rebounding leader, an All-Star, and featuring on the 2K cover. She even made a huge stride off the court, becoming the first athlete to walk the ramp for Victoria’s Secret and acting in the movie, too.

Reese also had her signature shoe debut, which was a massive hit among the fans. While the player mentioned those off-court ventures as her childhood dreams, she achieved each and every aspiration in just one offseason. On the court, despite the team’s poor performance, the forward was instrumental with her ‘double-double’ performances.

Angel Reese Put Forward Expectations From Chicago Sky
The 24-year-old was in the news for a possible trade before the start of the new season, as many pointed out that the player was unhappy with the franchise’s plans. But recently, Reese confirmed the Chicago Sky’s return and full recovery ahead of the 2026 season. However, there is one condition that she discussed in her podcast.
“Win win win win. 2026, I am looking for the playoffs. I am trying to get to the playoffs. I hate to be at home watching finals. It is not great. I wanna be in the finals. Just give me the finals, just give me the playoffs,” Reese said in her podcast.
