Even though Angel Reese’s use of words and place of disclosure might have overshadowed her true feelings, the forward wanted to alert the Sky front office about big improvements in the back court position to challenge for the title. Many fans and critics consider it to be Chi-Town Barbie’s final season in the windy city, but, as per The New York Times’ Sabrina Merchant and Been Pickman, one move can change the complete narrative.
The Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca addressed Angel Reese trade rumors and mildly contradicted the speculations, while a blockbuster move for Aces’ Jackie Young would change the narrative and keep the former LSU superstar at the franchise as well.
Jackie Young’s Signing Could Convince Angel Reese To Stay
The Chicago Sky fans and front office are eager to retain the rebound queen at the franchise, and to convince her to stay, they need to offer her a mega signing that could transform the franchise’s dynamics. While Vandersloot was a shrewd addition, her early-season injury hampered the decision. Now, another key name that emerges as a possible signing is four-time All-Star Jackie Young.

As per the New York Times’ analysts, the 29-year-old guard could be the next ‘Kelsey Plum’ who would be ready to leave the franchise to have her own team. While A’ja Wilson shared a playful ‘Unwanted Sister’ jab about Jackie Young amid the Las Vegas Aces’ success, it could well be reality, as per Sabrina Merchant.

Angel Reese Ready To Pay Fines Rather Than Media Misrepresentation
The whole story started when the 2024 rookie refused to give an exit interview, which ignited the rumor of her possible departure from the Sky franchise. While she was angry about how the media used her words wrongly against her, putting her in a bad light, she decided to ditch the interview altogether.
On her ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast. Reese said that she fears what the media is about to ask. The star mentioned that it could be the nicest question, but then a twist to her answers puts it into a different light or a different perspective altogether.
“It’s like, are you here intentionally to start a mess or are you intentionally here to ask the question? Seriously. I’d rather take the fine sometimes rather than talking to the media because it always gets flipped. And I think that’s where media has gotten these days,” she said.
