Nursing her back injury, Angel Reese found time to catch up on her favorite series, ‘Hunting Wives’, on Netflix. Season 1 premiered on July 21, with all eight episodes available online. While the Chicago Sky forward finished the series late due to her busy schedule, she was unhappy with the ending, calling it ‘unsatisfactory’.
She was quick to post her thoughts on social media and had a special demand for Netflix, the streamer of the popular series.
Angel Reese Demands Season 2 Of Hunting Wives
In the age of streaming videos, new series and movies are getting more attention from online viewers. ‘The Hunting Wives’ was the most-streamed series in the U.S. last week. It recorded more than 2 billion minutes viewed on Netflix. The WNBA star Angel Reese is also a fan of the series, but didn’t like the ending of Season 1.
She took her thoughts to social media and called out Netflix for season 2. She mentioned that she was ‘unsatisfied’ with how the series ended.
The Mystery series is adapted from May Cobb’s best-selling 2021 novel of the same name. It had been a massive hit among the fans. The ending of season 1 leaves many alternatives for the showrunner, Rebecca Cutter. While she doesn’t have a definite date for season 2, she is hopeful for the same, looking at the numbers.
“I let myself fantasize that maybe it would be (a hit) because I knew it was special when we were making it. I knew it was pretty juicy, the chemistry and performances good, but I never wanted to put the cart before the horse… (frankly) I never really let myself think about going to number one,” Cutter told USA TODAY over Zoom 10 days after the premiere (Via USAToday).

Well, it’s not only the former LSU star who is looking for season 2. Fans also expressed the same sentiments about the series. The player will now be back on her rehab and looks forward to continuing her recovery from the back issue.
Angel Reese Is Putting Effort Into Her Season 2
Talking about the Sky forward’s season 2 in the WNBA, it has been an individual excellence coupled with a letdown from the team. Making her second All-Star selection in as many years, the star forward is racking double-double performances in the league. She currently holds records for the most double-double stats since joining the league.

Angel Reese has recorded 42 double-doubles. She is only the second player, after Tina Charles, in the league’s history to record 40+ double-doubles through her first two seasons. She had been excellent with her output, bettering her shooting percentage and stats from her rookie season.
As for the team, the side stands at 11th position with a disappointing 8-21 record. They registered a win over the Washington Mystics. This win ends their season-worst eight game losing streak. They will look for better results, with Chi-Town Barbie in the lineup.
