The Chicago Sky’s dream to build a future around Angel Reese took a serious hit after the 2024 rookie’s comments opened cracks within the locker room. Her comments on her teammates’ poor performances didn’t go well, as they disliked the words used for them. The forward did apologize for her remarks, but the damage was done.
After the management took strict steps, a WNBA executive suggested that Reese should ask for a trade away from the Chicago Sky. While the situation is reaching its boiling point, Candace Parker shared her views on the topic and advised the Sky forward a bit.
Candace Parker Slams Angel Reese’s Comments
Candace Parker never beats around the bush and gets her point across in one go. While her rankings for the WNBA top players were in debate, Parker set the record straight while ranking Reese. She was clear with her message and once again gave her views about the ongoing saga to the point.

Talking on her ‘Post Moves’ podcast, the former champion said that she understands the issues with the struggling teams. But added that those problems should be kept inside the locker room.
“The best advice I ever received was to keep things in-house. You can yell, scream, cuss, do all those things in between these walls, but you can’t bring it out. And once that happens, it’s hard to gain that trust back,” said Parker.

Many of those who thrashed Chi-town Barbie for her comments shared the same idea, understanding the passion and competitive nature of the game. However, Jason Whitelock went ahead and mentioned that no one wants to play with Reese. Moreover the player’s absence from the games makes it even mor difficult for her to gain trust of her teammates and Sky fans.
Angel Reese Receives Support From NFL Champion
It’s not that everyone from the sports fraternity thrashed the Chicago Sky forward. Even her teammates mentioned that they understood Reese’s concerns and the point she wanted to make as they reacted to the situation. But the biggest support came from an NFL champion, LeSean McCoy.
“I love what Angel’s doing on the court. She’s balling right now. Her running her mouth is matching her game. My thing with her is, if you feel like that, let your agent tell the team that. Why are you putting it out in the press? So your teammates can read it?” LeSean McCoy said in the ‘Speakeasy’ podcast.
But showing his support, the former 49ers’ star pointed out that the 23-year-old made a mistake not going through the ‘proper channel’, causing the fiasco.
