Brittney Sykes created quite a buzz at the moment. With the trade deadline approaching this Thursday, she was traded to the Seattle Storm. Sykes joined the Storm in return for Alysha Clark from the Washington Mystics. However, Angel Reese has been dragged into a massive controversy amidst all this.
Reese is currently battling a back injury. With her return timeline uncertain, Chi-Town Barbie has no option but to wait. Meanwhile, with her recent comment in Sykes’ farewell post, Reese faced the wrath of the WNBA fans.
Angel Reese To Leave The Chicago Sky?
Before leaving the Washington Mystics, Sykes penned a heartfelt note for her team. Most of her comments were pleasing to the team. However, her last words particularly struck a chord. “P.S.: making decisions for yourself is a hell of a liberating feeling,” read the post. Now, before fans could grasp the gravity of the situation, Reese took a storming entry.
Commenting on Sykes’ post, Reese had a sly reply. She wrote, “heavy on the PS. love you slimskiiii.” Immediately, the alarm bell went off among the fans. Speculations started to drop as to what exactly Reese meant by her phrase.
One popular rumor is that the 23-year-old might be leaving the Chicago Sky. With Reese slated to get more money from Unrivaled this season, she will seek more fame. And given Sky’s performance, things do not look very promising.
Thus, it might be a possibility that Reese might be looking for better opportunities. Incidentally, both Reese and Sykes were teammates in Unrivaled. And with speculations circulating heavily, fans took to social media to lash out at the 23-year-old.
