Angel Reese’s career has been like a movie. Despite putting up mammoth performances on a nightly basis, the star had to suffer the agony of losses. Critics and haters slammed her for the ‘ineffective’ stat lines. Yet there were glimpses of success with the NCAA Championship, multiple individual records, and accolades, encouraging her to continue to fight through these adverse phases.
Words of encouragement also keep her going in the ‘W’. Four-time WNBA champion Cynthia Cooper said that Angel Reese reminds her of herself, which is a massive compliment for the young star. While she is living a ‘movie-like’ life, the Chicago Sky forward will actually be in an upcoming Netflix movie.
Angel Reese To Act In A Netflix Movie
Following her successful career in the WNBA, the star will also be part of the entertainment world. As per reports from the Hollywood Reporter, the WNBA star is set to make her acting debut in the new movie ‘A House of Dynamite.’ The movie is a thriller with the 23-year-old playing a cameo role in it.

Interestingly, Chi-Town Barbie dreamed of working in a movie or modelling during her college days. In 2023, during an interview with Revolt, the forward expressed her desire to act, talking about her ambitions outside basketball.
“I want to be an actor – I would like to get into film. Modelling is also something I’m passionate about outside of basketball,” Reese told the interviewer.
The movie will be released on October 10 and features Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson. Reese appears as herself, making it even more memorable for the star. She responded to a post breaking her acting career debut.

Incidentally, the star is a huge Netflix junkie. Reese demanded Netflix for ‘The Hunting Wives’ Season 2 during her rehab period. Her social media post went viral as she mentioned that she was unsatisfied with the season 1 ending. On the court, the star will be looking for a better year ahead with the Chicago Sky after early exit in the 2025 season.
Angel Reese Shows Massive Improvement From Her Rookie Season
Keeping aside the Chicago Sky’s disappointing record in the 2025 WNBA Season, the forward individually had a massive season in the league. Though she missed a few games due to a back injury, her stats are still better than her first season in the WNBA.
Her shooting efficiency has improved the most, up by seven per cent (46% from 39% in her rookie season). Her three-point shooting also improved marginally, but considering her role as a post player, it’s an added arsenal in her scoring abilities.
Another area where the former LSU star showed improvement is playmaking, where she is now averaging nearly four assists per game. During her rookie season, the forward had two assists per game. While Reese’s improvement impressed many NBA players and critics, the team must also support their superstar to improve its league record.
