Angel Reese has been knocking on the doors of brilliance since joining the Chicago Sky in 2024. And her last game against the Los Angeles Sparks was a testament to her ever-growing abilities.
Thanks to Reese and her frontcourt partner, Kamilla Cardoso, the Sky ended their three-game losing streak this Tuesday night.
As the 23-year-old Sky star continues to make history in the WNBA ͏wit͏h her strong͏ performances, she is slowly leaving behind her rookie season. Adding to that, her efforts on the basketball court show the kind of impact she has in the game.
Moreover, Tuesday night wasn’t just special for the Chicago Sky. The Randallstown-born star also etched her name into the WNBA history books by surpassing the GOAT, Candace Parker.
Angel Reese Surpasses Candace Parker And Is Just Behind Tina Charles
With a remarkable performance against the Los Angeles Sparks, Reese surpassed Canda͏ce Parker to become the player with the second-most double-doubles through the first two WN͏BA ͏seasons.
Angel Reese accomplished this in just 38 games, a feat only Tina Charles reached faster. Notably, soon after she surpassed Parker, Reese shared an ESPN post on her Instagram Story and wrote, “ELITE COMPANY.”

Angel Reese Has Been On A Record-Breaking Spree
Although the Randallstown-born star couldn’t surpass Tina Charles’ fastest double-doubles through the first two seasons, she has previously surpassed the Connecticut Sun Center’s formidable record.
On May 27, 2025, Angel Reese became the fastest player to reach the 500 points and 500 rebounds mark against the Phoenix Mercury. Charles previously held this record by achieving the milestone in 44 games. However, the young Sky power forward got to the feat in merely 38 games.
Notably, Reese is also the fastest player to record a triple-double in WNBA history. Seeing her impressive skill set, it is highly possible that she can achieve heights that no other WNBA star has ever achieved in their career. But for that, she needs to stay fit and consistent in the league.
