The Chicago Sky might have been struggling this season. With just eight wins and 25 losses, the franchise is looking down the barrel. Thankfully for the team, one silver lining amidst the dark clouds has been Angel Reese. While she is playing in just her sophomore year, the 23-year-old is pushing to be a future legend. And coming to this season, she did show a lot of improvement, too.
But that was until her back injury suddenly flared up. With regular updates coming in about her return timeline, Reese has no option but to watch from the sidelines. However, despite her injury, the Chi-Town Barbie does have her basketball priorities sorted. And in an exclusive interview, Reese broke down two of her biggest driving forces behind her career.
Angel Reese Wants To Be An Olympic Gold Medalist
While she is not playing, Reese hasn’t stopped making waves. The Sky star has recently announced the drop of her signature shoes with Reebok. And this is quite a big deal. That is because, other than Reese, Rebecca Lobo has been the only WNBA star in history to have a signature shoe. However, even with all the glitz and glamor coming her way, Chi-Town Barbie wants to achieve a couple of basketball feats desperately.

In a recent exclusive interview with ELLE, Angel Reese explained that she does not care about breaking records. Instead, she wants to win the WNBA championship and become an Olympic gold medalist before she concludes her career.
“I don’t really care about records—I just want to win a championship. The two most important goals for me before the end of my career are winning a championship and playing on the Olympic team and winning a gold medal,” said Reese, as quoted by ELLE.

Now, while her ambitions might seem lofty, the 23-year-old already has the stats to back the claim. Reese has been the fastest to reach the 600 points and 600 rebounds mark. She is also the second-youngest in WNBA history to clinch a triple-double. Meanwhile, aside from getting busy with the early worldwide release of her shoes, Reese also paid a visit to Westside Chicago as part of the ‘back to school’ initiative.
Angel Reese Makes An Effort To Bring Happiness To Children
The Chicago star recently joined hands with the ‘back to school’ initiative. As thousands of students received access to school supplies and essentials, Reese put in her effort towards the noble cause. Through her Angel C. Reese Foundation, the 23-year-old distributed 2000 Reebok backpacks to the students.

“2000 students, 2000 reasons to celebrate. Our Back-to-school bash was a true community effort, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing partners, sponsors, community organizations and volunteers,” Reese posted on her official Instagram account after the event.
Thus, trying to make a mark inside and outside the court, it now remains to be seen how well Angel Reese can manage her career in the coming days. But first, WNBA fans would like to see her come back healthy and strong on the court.
