Angel Reese is having one hell of an offseason with multiple mega events and activities on her plate. During her busy schedule, she hardly had time to interact with the media (except at events) or share her opinions on any ongoing news (except through her podcast). Yet she stayed in touch with her fans via social media. Providing them with updates on her projects.
For the two-time All-Star, the system works perfectly as she didn’t want any interference in her activities. Previously, many trolls used her name for a fake agenda. The star found a solution to this, as Reese trademarked her name with another possibility for a business move, too.
Now, the former LSU star opened up on her offseason plan, which was a savage response to all the ‘negativity’ around her.
Angel Reese With Solution On ‘Noise’
The 2024 rookie is the most followed WNBA player, but this popularity has also attracted some negativity, including fake news and agendas, which later evolved into memes. Recently, Reese spoke about such a fake quote trend on social media. But she even had a plan to reduce the negativity and people’s ‘unwanted’ interference, which she revealed in her latest post on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter.

Responding to a fan’s comment on her virtual absence, Reese wrote, “That was the goal for this offseason. Quietly minding my business so everybody won’t mind MINE.”

The rebounding leaser’s use of the word ‘everybody’ targets her critics as she is looking for a peaceful yet productive offseason.
So, when the player is looking to shut down the ‘noise’, it seems that she got the idea well before the offseason, as the player started to cut down her interviews from the regular season only.
Angel Reese Provides Reason For Avoiding Exit Interview
The Chi-Town Barbie received heavy criticism for avoiding an exit interview with the ongoing Chicago Tribune fiasco. While the player claimed that the article was not accurate and put her in a bad light, the player altogether avoided the exit interview. On her podcast, ‘Unapologetically Angel’, the 24-year-old star provided the reason.
Reese said, “Even before the game, like I’m terrified of what the media is about to ask. Like it could be the nicest question, but it’s going to get flipped or put into a different light or a different perspective. And it’s like, are you here intentionally to start mess or are you intentionally here to ask the question? Seriously.”

Chicago Sky forward, Angel Reese, has said she would rather pay WNBA fines than attend mandatory media sessions, citing fears that… pic.twitter.com/X2iQIUNaAv
She added that she is ready to take the fines to avoid any ‘misinterpretation’ from the media. Trolls often targeted the forward, even putting words in her mouth that impacted her image. So, her decision to keep a ‘safe distance’ from the interviews or as mentioned, ‘quietly minding her own business’, works well for her.
