Angel Reese is a burning topic at the moment. Following her controversial comments against her teammates, Reese’s future with the Chicago Sky looks pretty doubtful. As the regular season drew to a close, the 23-year-old star had a lot to say about her team. With the Sky’s performance not being up to the mark, the franchise slumped to one of the worst runs in its history. Such a disappointing run had the Chi-town Barbie lash out at her teammates. As the backlash grows stronger, it is rumored that Sky might part ways with the rookie star.
Reese pointed out that the team lacks quality athletes. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, the 23-year-old stated that the franchise needed to add quality as soon as possible. Not only that, but she also had a warning for her team. Reese pointed out that failing to do so might result in her considering trade options in the future.

The 23-year-old criticized her teammates heavily as well. She presumed that, apart from herself and Kamilla Cardoso, no other current player from the Sky roster would be coming back next year. Meanwhile, a recent report on the Dallas Hoops Journal has added a new narrative to the fiasco. According to reports, the Sky front office is not happy with the Chi-town Barbie’s antics. And thus, they might just attempt to sell her in the upcoming summer window.

Well, if this news is true, the situation is looking to have escalated quite fast. Reese initially was imposed a half-game suspension from the team. But if the management is actually navigating the trade option, then this summer might turn out to be pretty interesting. Meanwhile, her actions have drawn reactions from a lot of WNBA personalities. Fever guard Sophie Cunningham delivered her bold take on the matter. And she was not the only one. Candace Parker, too, disapproved of Reese’s public statements.

Candace Parker Not Liking How Angel Reese Criticized Chicago Sky Publicly
Reese immediately issued an apology to her teammates. She pointed out that her comments were taken out of context. Sadly, all of that did very little to curb the growing discontent among the fans and fellow WNBA personalities. Likewise, Candace Parker recently shared her take on the matter. Not the one to sugarcoat her words, Parker disapproved of Reese’s actions right away. Speaking in an episode of ‘Post Moves,’ the WNBA icon stated that she can understand that the 23-year-old was feeling frustrated with the team. Parker then added that certain things must stay within the locker room.

“The best advice I ever received was to keep things in-house. You can yell, scream, cuss, do all those things in between these walls, but you can’t bring it out. And once that happens, it’s hard to gain that trust back,” said Parker.
Well, it is evident that the Angel Reese situation has escalated significantly. It remains to be seen whether the rookie star finds a new team to play for in the coming season.
