Angel Reese With Record Double-Double Feat In WNBA
The Chi-Town Barbie is known for her unmatched rebounding abilities. She once again lived up to the ‘rebounding queen crown’ and grabbed 11 rebounds against the Lynx. Though she struggled to score a basket, her constant efforts finally paid off midway into the fourth quarter as she finished a tough layup to take her tally to 11 points.
With this, she had her 18th overall and 10th straight double-double in the 2025 season. Adding the impressive run to her rookie season double-double record (15 straight), the star forward becomes the first WNBA player with multiple streaks of 10+ double-doubles.
Her streak started from June 22, exactly a month ago, when she recorded 19 rebounds and 10 points against the Atlanta Dream. During this 10-game stretch, the Windy City franchise registered a 4-6 record.
Chicago Sky Unable To Pull A Victory Despite Angel Reese’s Performance
Having a record under your belt is always good, and it’s better if the team benefits from it. Even though the LSU star pushes for the wins, her teammates struggle to find rhythm. Apart from Reese, only Kamila Cardoso (10 points) and Kia Nurse (16 points) were in double-digit points. The Brazilian center did well with 10 rebounds, recording her double-double.

Offensively, the side battled to find the open plays and had 21 turnovers in the game. With just 12 assists in the game, coach Tyler Marsh must work on link-up plays. Defensively, they allowed nearly 20+ points in each quarter. With the 23-year-old forward improving her game, other players also need to step up to win games.
On the other hand, the Lynx had a dominating outing from its starters. Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride led the scoring with 19 points each, while the other three starters also registered double-digit scores. At the defensive end, the 2024 WNBA finalist held the opposition under 15 points in two quarters to win the game 91-68. This is their 13th win at home, and they are still unbeaten at the Target Center in the regular season.
