Following a successful WNBA Season, at the individual level, Angel Reese stayed away from the media, working on her offseason projects. Not surprisingly, the Sky forward had a very productive offseason with a role in three Hollywood movies and a mega modelling assignment.
Reese even now joins the season 2 cast of Netflix reality series The Hunting Wives amid WNBA offseason, which is one of her favourite TV series. Another venture that took off in the off-season was a success with her signature Reebok AR5s, as the player went to Australia to promote her ‘already hit’ shoe line. But there was one issue while travelling.

Angel Reese Struggles On Flight To Australia Without Wi-Fi
The 2024 WNBA rookie stays connected with her fanbase via social media and is always on the net, working on her projects or even chilling with her movies or shows. While the player is always online, a tech issue for nearly a day put her ‘offline’ – as she complained about the ‘no wi-fi’ on the flight.
On the video captured on the flight, the star said, “Didn’t know there was going to be no Wi-Fi. So I literally didn’t even get my last text messages in. So it was sad. … I’m miserable. Didn’t download any movies. I’m literally just sitting here. I can’t play my shows. I’m really upset.”

“If I knew there was going to be no Wi-Fi, I would have prepared, but I was told there was going to be Wi-Fi when there wasn’t. Had no Wi-Fi. I won’t be flying back like this, but this was definitely humbling for sure. Just saying,” Reese added in her experience.

While the player had a bad experience flying to Australia, she returned with a smile after a successful shoe launch event as Reebok signed a deal with WNBL, making her AR5s the official sneaker partner for the league. Moreover, the player was back in the Unrivaled league, which she mentioned she was missing.
Unrivaled Commissioner Speaks About Angel Reese’s Return
The former LSU star already spoke about a heartfelt Unrivaled return after a five-month break from basketball. Though there were many questions over her surprising return, the league commissioner spoke about the superstar’s entry into the league.
“We knew that this year there were going to be some issues with her calendar,” Bazzell said. “Her shoe release came out. She went overseas, so there was a constant dialogue of could we make it work earlier in the season or not?”
Bazzell mentioned that the forward didn’t want to be a distraction by coming in and out of the league while juggling other commitments. So the player ultimately chose not to play. But a need opened up at the Rose BC, so she chose to take the first flight and return to the competition. She led the side to a fifth-place finish and lost to Breeze BC in the knockout game.
