Team USA has surely witnessed some great players donning the jersey in the past years. But having a blockbuster team as they have at present is something that is a recent occurrence. With the likes of Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, and Angel Reese taking the floor, the spotlight is shining on the team ever brighter than before.
And that is why the chances of awkward tension between players are more of a possibility within the team. Thankfully, till now, the clash in power dynamics hasn’t affected the team. With Team USA galloping ahead of its opponents at the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, Angel Reese named one key aspect binding the team together.

Angel Reese Eyes Solid Team Chemistry Within The Star-Studded Team
When the big three of the USA’s women’s basketball assembled in San Juan, Puerto Rico, buzz about how the three would get along surfaced. Thankfully, Reese did not let the negativities affect her or the team in any way. Despite getting bashed by fans for missing an easy layup from Clark, the Chi-Town Barbie remained humble and carried on with her game.
Speaking with FIBA.basketball, the Bayou Barbie said, “Team chemistry is everything. I mean, some of us have played with each other on our respective teams, but we have to come together and find your role. Everybody’s not going to be able to do everything that they do on their respective team. So, figuring out what works for you, what you can do best, and bring it to the table and do it their way.”
Surely, implementing her beliefs in her game, the Chicago Sky star is looking sharp in her approach. Playing for Team USA, the 2-time WNBA All-Star has been shooting more than 61 per cent. In the team’s recent game against New Zealand, Reese was on the court for 18 minutes. She dropped nine points and four assists to put up a decent performance. The Sky star also chipped in with 10 points against Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile, as the 23-year-old continues to prove her haters wrong, she recently had some strong support coming from Breanna Stewart.
Breanna Stewart Impressed With Angel Reese ‘Able To Take Both’
In a recent appearance on the ‘Pivot’ podcast, Stewart delved deep into how publicity works for a team. She clarified that when a team has multiple star players, it will attract a lot of eyeballs from the fans. However, as a professional athlete, one must know how to handle pressure and deal with the hatred that fans throw at them. And according to the New York Liberty star, Reese and Clark are doing it bang on.
“If we want to be in this space where we’re getting all the things we want, you have to be able to take both. That’s just the way it is. Don’t let it rattle you. I think Angel, Caitlin, those two especially, they don’t let it rattle them. They know that they’re really elevating the game and not everybody’s gonna love them, not everybody’s gonna hate them,” said Stewart.

WNBA basketball fandom has gotten more toxic with the arrival of Angel Reese & Caitlin Clark. NBA rivalries have driven the men’s game’s popularity, but where there’s positive the negative will follow. You have… pic.twitter.com/F9MKYPVdEP
Thus, it is evident that with the passing of days, Reese is getting more mature. As the 2026 season is around the corner, fans would expect the maturity to reflect on the court, too.
