Two nights before, Wendell Carter Jr. confirmed Angel Reese’s romance with a subtle hint during the game against the Miami Heat.
While the Chi-Town Barbie didn’t respond immediately, she showed her support by attending the next game at Maddison Square Garden. This time, she had one of her WNBA mates, Paige Bueckers, with her.
Both players were at the courtside and had a great time, wherein the Sky forward later took the opportunity to make fun of the former UConn superstar.
Angel Reese Teased Paige Buckers Over Her Height
During the break, the duo got time to get in front of the camera and interact with fans. The former LSU star did a TikTok live where both stars answered questions.
Reese took the opportunity to tease PB about her height. “Okay, how tall do y’all think Paige is? Everybody in that chat, for real,” Reese questioned, holding the camera high to allow fans to judge. “Don’t say anything in the fives. Like, I know five is our number,” Bueckers responded, trying to be funny in front of the camera. The Wings’ guard is listed as six feet, while Reese is 6-feet-3.

Reese said, “Wait, are you not like 5’11”? 5’10”?” Upon getting a negative reply from the 2025 rookie, Reese was quick to deny her the 6-feet club and said, “Okay, 5’11”. You not six feet yet.”
While the camera caught their whole conversation, Reese went ahead and stood next to Buckers to compare their height. PB also quickly pointed out the heels the Sky superstar was wearing. While everyone had a good laugh about it, the duo now collaborate for a brand.

Both athletes are not only top-notch players but also successful businesswomen. Reese’s, the iconic peanut-butter-cup brand, formed a partnership with Bueckers. The first clue was subtle enough that some wondered if it was a typo. Reese’s changed its Instagram bio to read, “The official Instagram Paige of Reese.”
White, it was a close hint to Angel Reese’s earlier announcement about ‘something big coming up’, the more direct message came later. “Their numbers may be 5, but together, this duo’s a solid 10… coming soon.” Incidentally, both stars wear jersey number 5 for their respective teams.
