The 2025 WNBA season might not be as productive as Angel Reese hoped for, but her offseason plans and events are going viral. Reese’s agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya, shared a bold plan for Reese beyond her WNBA career. And she is quickly making progress in each of those ventures.
But before entering a new avenue, she is trying to keep her past clean and spotless as she spoke on her podcast – Unpolemically Angel. She targeted the ‘fake news’ agenda, which tarnished her image as she had a special message for her fans.
Angel Reese Warns Fans Against Fake News
In a recent promo video for the ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast, the rebounding queen addressed some fake news and urged fans not to believe it. She used an example of a viral meme, trolling her for her comments on ‘Week’s Earnings’.

In the video, she said, “Everything I say here, if you all don’t see the clip, you don’t see the video come from my mouth, or me saying certain things – don’t not believe it. There is somebody who said that something about I said that there are seven days in a week and there are seven something. What the **** you all are talking about? I never said that.”
She was talking about a meme that went viral, claiming that the Chicago sky forward said, “Y’all make $1400 a week, I make $1400 in 7 days.” Now that Angel Reese clears the air around the troll, fans will be cautious in reacting to any such trolls or memes.

But there is certainly one thing that helped the forward with such trolls or even criticism is that it kept her in focus all the time, allowing her to catch more eyeballs and use it to her advantage.
Angel Reese Makes Fortunes Off Trolls
There might be multiple trolls on the internet about the former LSU star, but it is keeping her in the news and also attracting views. But instead of getting angry at them, the 23-year-old made a business out of it and made a six-figure sale as per the star forward’s acknowledgment on social media. Ironically, Angel Reese’s six-figure “mebounds” merch revelation ignited fan backlash.
Reebok also used the names of her trolls as the variants for her signature shoe, making a bold move in entering the market. Although Reese urged critics to come up with some more creative names for her next business idea, the point she wanted to make about the fake news is very valid and damaging to her status.
Fans will be eager to know about her next plans in the off-season and for the WNBA also, but it is important to check on Reese’s profile for an ‘authentic’ update.
