Angel Reese had another successful offseason with her multiple projects achieving huge acclaim. Now she will be back in the Unrivaled league, where she won her first professional championship. Atlanta Dream co-owner Renee Montgomery thinks Reese’s entry will uplift the team’s chances to save their season.
On the WNBA side, she might receive criticism for not leading the Chicago Sky into the playoffs, even though she delivered sensational performances on the court. Her performances earned a special feat in the college and WNBA seasons combined.

Fans React To Angel Reese’s Unique Feat
Completing her second season in the WNBA, the Sky forward finished with a double-double stat line. The 2024 rookie achieved the feat in her first season, too, highlighting her immediate impact on the team. She won her NCAA championship with similarly dominant performances and had three seasons with double-doubles.
Incidentally, she is only the fourth player to record multiple double-double seasons in college and WNBA combined, with Lisa Leslie, Jonquel Jones, and Sylvia Fowles being the other three.
Only four players in the history of women’s basketball have recorded multiple double-double seasons at both the collegiate and WNBA levels:

Angel Reese Is a Double-Double Machine
The former LSU star received high praise for her dominance around the rim. Her rebounding and scoring prowess allowed her to attain double-double figures with ease. In the league, the star already has a record for most double-doubles in a rookie season (23) and recently surpassed Tina Charles for most double-doubles in the first two seasons.
She also became the first rookie to record a double-double in a WNBA All-Star game. While the player is one of the prominent players around the rim, fans obviously want to see her win even more accolades, including team honors, throughout her career.
