The Chicago Sky is on another losing streak, following their win over the Washington Mystics on August 5. Angel Reese’s absence is a big reason for this slide, as the player is out due to a back injury. But the star is utilizing her time for a social cause.
Following the announcement of her signature Reebok shoes, the forward used her star power and collaboration with Reebok to help those in need.
Angel Reese Celebrates’ Back To School’ Initiative
As part of the ‘back to school’ initiative, thousands of students received school supplies and essentials. The 23-year-old WNBA player also played her part in the noble work. Through her organization, the Angel C. Reese Foundation, Reese supplied over 2,000 Chicago students with Reebok backpacks.

This was her second visit to the event, and she made the most of the opportunity by giving back to society. She even posted her work on social media, showing joy in helping others.
“2000 students, 2000 reasons to celebrate. Our Back-to-school bash was a true community effort, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing partners, sponsors, community organizations and volunteers,” Angel Reese wrote on her Instagram post. The Sky franchise also shared a post, praising its star player.

Reese’s Signature Shoes To Hit The Market Soon
Earlier in August 2025, Reebok confirmed the release of Angel 1, the mega star forward’s signature shoes. The sneaker giants looked to match the former LSU star’s personality on the court and came up with the “Diamond Dust” colorway. According to the company, it pays homage to the “grit and glam” the star brings to the game.
Angel Reese also shared the news, highlighting that the product will be available globally from September 18. Reebok made three different colorways of Angel 1 with different names and meanings for each one of them. This includes a black and white “Receipts Ready” colorway, an all-white “Diamond Dust” pair, and ‘Mebound makeup’ coming in the pink color.
Along with the sneakers, the Chicago star Angel Reese will have merchandise from the brand, including sleeves. She is the second WNBA player to represent Reebok, following Rebecca Lobo’s footsteps.
