If the 2025 season is analyzed, there are players who single-handedly carry their teams to wins and eventually a higher ranking. A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Mitchell move close to the MVP power ranking behind their capacity to carry the team. Sabrina Ionescu and Alyssa Thomas have similar impacts on their teams. But the Atlanta Dream is one such team that is hardly reliant on only one star player.
Rhyne Howad, Alyssha Grey, and Brionna Jones might have some career-high games impacting the game results, but other stars have also produced match-winning performances. Before the postseason games, there is one area that the side might improve on.
Atlanta Dream Needs To Work On Offensive Inconsistency
The Atlanta Dream’s roster reads, Naz Hillmon, Brionna Jones, Rhyne Howard, Jordin Canada, Allisha Grey and Brittney Griner. The depth goes till 10th player on the roster at least with everyone contributing heavily on the defensive end. As a team, the franchise ranks in defensive rebounds (36.5) and blocks (4.4) per game.

Behind its defensive-minded forwards, Howard, Canada, and Grey carry the offensive load. The team ranks second in the offensive rating, but they lack consistency. Which cost them a game or two in the regular season run.
Despite scoring 30+ points twice in the season, Howard has just a 16-point average in the league, highlighting her struggles in other games. Howard recently set a three-pointer record in the league. However, Grey also ranks seventh in the league, with her subtle scoring performance, but showed a bit of consistency with her numbers.
Atlanta averages 83.7 points per game, ranking fifth in the league. But their efficiency looks disastrous with just 33.2 per cent conversion from the deep. Over reliance on Grey and Howard for scoring could also hamper their chances to win games in the playoffs against defensively strong sides.

With multiple All-Stars and offensive juggernauts on the roster, the team could do better on improving that tally.
Allisha Grey Could Be Key For Atlanta Dream’s Offensive Troubles
One good thing about being a primary ball handler is having the luxury of controlling the offensive plays for the team. If the guard is struggling with the scoring, she can impact with the playmaking, finding open players and helping others to gain confidence on the floor.
So far, Grey has done a great job in both departments. She is the team’s leading scorer and averages four assists per game. Along with Rhyne Howard, she controls the flow of the game, impacting scoring and involving the team in plays.
Averaging six rebounds and a steal in a game, the player highlights her game awareness and defensive capabilities. Grey’s plays will play a key role in playing against defensively strong Lynx or offensively aggressive Aces.
