WNBA fans are happy with the CBA confirmation as the top players will be in action once again, probably with different rosters following the size of free agency and the addition of the expansion teams. Atlanta Dream’s side will also look to keep its core intact and add meaningful pieces to the roster that will push for the championship after losing in the first round against the Fever team in 2025.
But ahead of the roster building, the team arranged its schedule and recently updated the venues for different games. Earlier, an update showed the Chicago Sky moving the August 8 home game against the Indiana Fever to the United Center for the Angel Reese vs Caitlin Clark showdown.
The Dream front office is also looking for a similar response from fans and recently changed the locations of five games.

Atlanta Dream To Play Five Home Games At State Farm Arena
The 2026 home schedule for the Atlanta franchise will start with a game against the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, on May 17. The front office put this mega fixture at the State Farm Arena. It also selected home games against the Indiana Fever, Toronto Raptors, and Chicago Sky for the bigger arena.
It is important ot note that the Atlanta side will play the Fever side twice at home and will play both games at State Farm Arena. Regarding the venue change, the Dream President and COO, Morgan Shaw Parker, said. “There’s nothing like Dream basketball in Atlanta. Our fans bring unmatched passion and energy every night, and bringing five games to State Farm Arena allows us to share that atmosphere with even more people.”

“It’s a powerful moment for our franchise and a reflection of how much this city continues to embrace women’s basketball,” Parker added. Notably, the Dream played in the State Farm Arena only twice before the 2026 season. The first game was in 2024, and another in 2025. Those games drew more than 17,000 fans each.
With the WNBA Board of Governors Unanimously Approves New CBA Agreement, the next processes will be even faster looking at the start date of the season. Apart from the venue decision, the Dream side already has multiple decisions in hand, and one of the biggest decisions is with the future of megastar forward Brittney Griner.
Brittney Griner Showing Trust in Atlanta Dream
The former Mercury star joined the Dream side as a veteran presence and a championship experience star for the young, talented side. Though her numbers were not high compared to her illustrious career, she definitely led the dressing room.
Though her future with the franchise is in question, she wishes to be a defensive powerhouse and wishes to continue with the side. “I’m looking forward to it. Everybody on that team, it was just easy. Basketball was the main focus; we showed up, we hooped, and that’s all you can ask for. And I’m looking forward to being there again.”
The star added, “I’m looking forward to just being in the city. The city was amazing. They welcomed me so well, and I had a blast.”
With Rhyne Howard and Alisha Gray leading the line, the Dream side will be looking to add younger and more impactful forward to the lineup.
