The College season is nearly 10 games old now, with the teams already making some strong moves in the conference standings. Players are also delivering high-end performances for their teams and showcasing their abilities in the WNBA draft.
While all eyes are on the WNBA’s Top prospects from college, one name, out of draft eligibility yet making a strong push as an elite scorer in women’s basketball, is Audi Crooks.
The Iowa State forward is an offensive menace for her opposition in the 2025-26 season and has been delivering high numbers on a nightly basis. Recently, she scored 47 points against the Indiana Hoosiers, setting a new scoring record for the program.

Audi Crooks Sets Iowa State Scoring Record
The above headline was two weeks old when the 20-year-old helped her side defeat the Valparaiso Crusaders with a 44-point outing. On Sunday night, December 30, the star broke her own scoring record and set a new high for the Iowa State Cyclones.
The center shot 19-for-25 from the field and scored 47 points to record its ninth win of the season in as many games. Interestingly, the Iowa State junior recorded her third 40-point game of the season, helping her lead all scorers with a 27.3 points average. More importantly, she is scoring these numbers in a short period of time, averaging nearly 25 minutes per game.

Playing for the Iowa state in 77 games, the star recorded 76 double-digit scores and 48 times scored 20+ points for the side. For the program that made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament as its best performance, Audi Crook has been a lethal weapon and a chance to advance to the next rounds.
Though it is too early to make any predictions about the season, analyst Pat McAfee sees Iowa State as a real threat for the championship and calls their powerful scorer a real deal.
Pat McAfee Puts Audi Crooks’ Iowa State In Championship Talks
The college season is still fresh, and many players have already made their mark on the tournament. Florida Gators’ Liv McGill sets basketball history with rare stats that only NBA legend Dwyane Wade had with the Miami Heat. But the analyst saw more potential in Iowa State’s young star.
“Audi Crooks, my new favorite player. 21 minutes, 43 points, seven rebounds, two assists. Audi Crooks doesn’t need a lot of time, but she is gonna take over, and we need to be prepared for March Madness, for it to be the Audi Crooks show, because my timeline has already become that,” McAfee said in the ESPN show.
He even concluded by declaring the Iowa State team as national champions for the season. The team currently leads the conference with a 9-0 record and is one of only 13 teams in the country with an undefeated record. While they are yet to play against any top 10-ranked side, the team showed massive improvement, especially at the offensive end.
