Dawn Staley Highlights Added Pressure For Becky Hammon That Came With The NBA Head Coach’s Role
Stephen A. Smith recently stated that Hammon is ready to coach an NBA team. Now, one more person who came in close proximity to coaching an NBA side was Dawn Staley. Due to her outstanding performance with South Carolina, Staley joined the New York Knicks after Tom Thibodeau’s departure. And while the Knicks went with Mike Brown, Staley shared her take on females coaching in the NBA.

“It’s not just hiring the first female coach. Because one, if I’m the Knicks coach and you have a five-game losing streak, it’s not going to be about the losing streak. It’s going to be about being a female coach. So you as an organization and a franchise, you have to be prepared about that and strong enough to endure those types of instances when you’re a female coach,” Staley said.
Thus, it is evident that the upcoming documentary by Hammon will be a fascinating watch. Fans will now eagerly wait to get further updates on the same.
