The list consisted of multiple WNBA players, with the Fever guard, Caitlin Clark, leading from the front. It also features Napheesa Collier, A’ja Wilson, Dawn Staley, and Becky Hammon. The Liberty duo, Breanna Stewart and Clara Wu Tsai, also make the list.
Clara Wu Tsai, owner of the New York Liberty, takes 10th place. Apart from the Liberty franchise, she also has a stake in the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. The visionary owner aims to make the WNBA’s first $1 billion franchise and has already invested heavily in its facilities.
Just above the owner of the franchise, the Veteran forward takes ninth place alongside Collier, who is one of the co-owners of the Unrivaled league. While the franchise failed to defend the title, with former UConn stars’ struggles on the floor, the side will look to bounce back in the upcoming season. During media day, UConn coach Geno Auriemma remained unfazed on Stewart’s rocky New York Liberty Season and still rates her high.

Breanna Stewart Backs Napheesa Collier Amid Cathy Engelbert Drama
While the CBA discussions are still far from being concluded, Napheesa Collier’s comments and criticism of WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert worsen the situation. WNBA franchise owners and a few authorities claimed that the timing of Phee’s criticism was ‘planned’. But the Liberty superstar stands behind her former UConn teammate.
“My reaction to Phee’s statement is, I agree with Phee. I stand 100% with Phee and what she said. I think it’s hard to see that kind of interaction transpire,” Stewart said.
The discussions are still going on with two meetings scheduled close to October 31, the deadline date for the current CBA. Fans are wishing for an early solution to the issue.
