The WNBA will have one of its biggest days this Monday. Owing to the stalled CBA talks, the WNBPA will be meeting face-to-face with the WNBA. The league announced the 2026 schedule, leaving players utterly confused about the road ahead.
Till now, there have been no positive outcomes every time the CBA deals have been discussed. Thus, with no other options left, the players are staring at a work stoppage. However, while Monday’s meeting might solve a lot of things, it will also have the WNBA stalwarts joining in. Surprisingly, as Breanna Stewart will be joining the meeting, she will also not be neglecting her Unrivaled duties.

Breanna Stewart Makes Her Priorities Clear
Stewart has been one of the biggest stars of the WNBA. Along with it, she has been leading the players’ protest for a long time. Thus, in the all-important Monday meeting, Stewart’s presence is of utmost importance. And as per her latest statement, the WNBA veteran will be there, but from a distance.
This is because, alongside managing the CBA talks, she is also playing in the 3×3 league, Unrivaled. Not neglecting her responsibilities, the WNBA star will stay back in Miami to prepare for her game against the Laces BC.
“There’s moments and times where you have to do both,” Stewart said. “That’s what I’ll be doing on Monday. I want to make sure I’m present in that meeting on Zoom, and at the same time, be ready for our game at 8:45 at night.”

Breanna Stewart Hopeful About The CBA Fiasco Getting Sorted
The league has extended the CBA deadline three times. Unfortunately, on all three occasions, the negotiations failed. However, despite all the talk about the players opting for a work stoppage, Stewart is still hopeful of a solution coming soon.

In a recent statement to Front Office Sports, Stewart said, “Unfortunately I wasn’t an economics major or anything like that, but we’re trying to get the best deal possible and we want to negotiate in good faith with the league. We’re hoping for some positive kind of change or reinforcement here. I feel like kind of. I’m just starting to see it (positive signs).”
