The Breeze BC started off the Unrivalled Season 2 like a title contender, winning the opening games in the league, but now, after eight games, they find themselves fighting for playoff qualification. In their last match-up, Paige Bueckers and Cameron Brink struggled as Breeze BC fell to top-seeded Laces BC. And now the side was up against the Phantom BC in a must-win game.
Both sides entered the game with similar records, with the winner gaining a massive advantage in the final standings. Bueckers was at her best, but those performances lit up the stat sheet, not the game result.

Paige Bueckers’ Efforts Fall Short
At the end of the third quarter, the Phantom BC had a slight three-point advantage. The game, evenly balanced, demanded top-quality basketball from the players, and the sides delivered on the floor.
Bueckers in particular played for the whole quarter and scored eight points, dishing out two assists in the game. The team even levelled with the Phantom BC at one point, with just five points needed for the win.

The Phantom side now takes third position in the standings with a 5-3 record, while the Breeze BC dropped to fourth position following back-to-back losses. The former UConn star, accustomed to close games and nervy finishes, accepted the difference between the WNBA and Unrivaled.
Paige Bueckers Differentiates Between WBNA And Unrivaled
Playing in her first season, the Wings’ star ended up collecting the Rookie of the Year accolade and much praise for her performances. In the unrivaled too, Bueckers is quietly building a strong case for Unrivaled MVP with dominant performances. But the star separates both leagues, calling the 3-on-3 league a more competitive one.

“Yeah, I think the physicality [is] No. 1. We all know that the W is physical, but I feel Unrivaled is even more physical than that, and then not being able to have help side, like you’re basically on the island, so at points you’re gonna have to be okay with getting cooked,” the Breeze BC guard said.
Bueckers already won $50,000 prize money at the Unrivaled free-throw contest, but her target is to win her first championship at the pro level.
