The Indiana Fever fans would never forget the moment they lost Sophie Cunningham to a horrifying injury during the game against the Connecticut Sun. Cunningham’s mother even targeted ‘offender’ Bria Hartley for being mean. But the Fever forward supported her competitor, showing trust in the Sun guard.
The topic and memory came up with the former UConn star’s recent decision. Immediately after the injury to Cunningham, the player found herself out of action, which indirectly altered the direction of her decisions.

Bria Hartley Settles For Minnesota As Off-Season Home
Hartley was out for the season with a knee injury ahead of the Atlanta Dream clash late in August. While the injury sidelined her from the action, she got a new perspective on her recovery and even training during the rehab phase at Minnesota. Depending on her experience, the veteran guard decided to make the north her second home.
“I just really trust them here at Training Haus. I’ve built relationships with my surgeons, my PTs here, and I really love this facility, so coming back here is really a no-brainer for me,” Hartley said.

Bria Hartley Ready To Make Move To Lynx
The 33-year-old guard brings in experience, creativity, and grit that any franchise would look for in its ‘initiator’. While the player is ready to move to Minnesota, the obvious choice that comes with it is joining the Lynx.

The player mentioned that she is open to the idea if the opportunity presents itself. She also mentioned that she wishes to play for at least three more seasons and finds the Lynx to be a perfect fit for her game.
The 2024 finalists are strong defensively and have a potent forward lineup to complement Hartley’s playmaking and scoring abilities. It will be interesting to see whether Cheryl Reeves is interested in the veteran guard to support her backcourt duo.
