When fans hear about Brittney Griner, memories of her arrest in Russia or her fiery encounters on the WNBA courts rush to mind. They are not to some extent, with the history of the player largely ruled by these incidences.
But the league and close ones, who know her true self, know a different player and person altogether. In the recent video of ‘Pride Is Love’, the league unearths her personal life and love for her family. The former champion also shared a picture from the episode.

The push for the second spot intensified for the Atlanta Dream. They defeated the Phoenix Mercury at home and are now within a win of the New York Liberty. But the concerning fact in that game was the absence of their superstar center, who is nursing her neck injury and has no definite return schedule. Her neck had been bothering her for a while, and the franchise is giving attention to the same.
Out of action, the 6-foot-9 star spent some time with her family and was involved in a shoot for the WNBA’s ‘Pride Is Love’ episode with wife Cherelle. She shared a snapshot on her Instagram account and encouraged fans to watch it with the caption “Fun time filming this.”
The WNBA also released a teaser for the episode on its official Instagram account. It gives a glimpse of the 10-time All-Star’s personal life and the love she shares with her family.
“This is a story about love, strength, and family. Step into Brittney & Cherelle Griner’s world in the full episode of Pride Is Love presented by @Coach, also available now on the WNBA App,” WNBA posted on its account.

The star had been in the spotlight for many wrong reasons. In the 2025 season, the forward could face suspension for her aggressive behavior on the court. She knows it all and accepts the flaws. She even wrote an article about her actions and mistakes in the WNBA’s special edition.

“I’ve made mistakes. Who hasn’t? But being in the public eye doesn’t make me any less human. People often forget that. They put us on pedestals and expect us to be perfect. But the truth is, nobody is perfect. We all stumble. We all grow,” She wrote in the ‘Pride In Me: Flaw and All’ article.
