After the impressive 2025 season, the Indiana Fever is a hot destination for many WBA players. The free agency pool is loaded, and Stephanie White has a chance to pick from the best.
However, the Fever fanbase is pleased with the ‘resilient’ 2025 roster, which embodies their brand of basketball. Their reaction at the recent Caitlin Clark and Aari McDonald reunion said it all, as fans demanded the re-signing of the 27-year-old guard.
The Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly brand had an event for their employees, where Caitlin Clark stole the spotlight with a surprise visit, accompanied by Aari McDonald and Kelsey Mitchell. Fans reacted to the appearance of the Fever guard trio.

During the 2025 offseason, Indiana Fever players will attend multiple events and social activities in the region to raise awareness. In one of the events, organized by Eli Lilly brand, CC, along with Kelsey Mitchel and Aari McDonald, gave an inspirational speech on teamwork to the employees.

While the event went well, there were a few takeaways for the Fever fan base. Firstly, the involvement of Aari McDonald, which highlighted strong ties with the franchise, and also the guard’s recovery. Both signs were encouraging, considering her impact on the team during the injury-laden season.

Fans are excited for the new season and numerous possibilities, but Caitlin Clark was brutally honest about the Indiana Fever’s tough roster decisions.
Indiana Fever’s Sweating On Caitlin Clark’s Backcourt Partnerships
The big question ahead of the 2026 season is who to keep from the 17-member squad, even though every player on the roster has been highly impactful this season. Although GM Amber Cox singled out Kelsey Mitchell as the primary target, for the backup role, Athletic’s Sabreena Merchant mentioned Aari McDonald’s name.
She mentioned that the guard fits perfectly in Stephanie White’s system, even though there are a number of backcourt options available for the team. Merchant said, “The defensive identity they leaned into with Odyssey Sims, with the replacement players they had to bring in like Aari McDonald and stuff, like that’s just a different team than the one with Caitlin Clark leading at point guard,” Merchant wrote.
While fans are also leaning towards Aari McDonald, the Fever front office is also waiting for the CBA negotiations’ conclusion and will upgrade the roster accordingly.
