Caitlin Clark is focusing on the 2026 WNBA Championship as she recently opened up on her plans and target for the upcoming season. Although she is completely immersed in the preparations, she is not leaving her personal ties loose and shows great character backing her family over a fan.
While fans questioned Clark’s lack of reaction to the Iowa Hawkeyes’ men’s basketball team’s success in the 2025-26 season, many assumed that her relationship with Connor McCaffery is the key reason for her silence. She didn’t confirm anything publicly, her recent actions backed the theory.

Caitlin Clark Blocked Her ‘Number One’ Fan Dave Portnoy
The Barstool owner had been a vocal supporter of the Fever guard and even has a friendly relationship with the megastar. But his one mistake cost him her friendship as she blocked him on social media.
During a recent edition of Barstool Live, Portnoy blamed Rico Bosco for CC’s actions, as he said, “She blocked me. Caitlin Clark has blocked me and is now not responding to me. You cost me a Caitlin Clark relationship.”

The problem escalated as Portnoy got a call from the McCaffery family on Rico Bosco’s handset, but he didn’t realize who he was talking to and didn’t handle the conversation well. As a result, the 2024 WNBA rookie shut him down. While fans were wondering about a breakup between Clark and Connor McCaffery, this is the biggest answer to the doubters.
While the player showed professionalism, not bashing Portnoy publicly, the former Pacers star lauded her attributes that impacted the game and women’s sport.
Jalen Rose Praises Caitlin Clark For Impact On Women’s Sport
The former Iowa star was in Indiana for the NCAA Final Four games discussion with Jalen Rose and Kansas guard Darryn Peterson. After a ‘small introduction’, Rose mentioned that he didn’t like CC’s logo three as it costs his favourite side multiple games. But then, also praised her for her ‘game changing’ aura.
“How you’ve changed the game not only collegiately but professionally, and how disciplined you are, how professional you are, how well you respect your teammates, how you’re all about winning — that’s to be admired,” Rose said after recalling her Iowa Hawkeyes performances.
