The WNBA-WNBPA talks are in critical mode, with the players’ association also scaling back its demands to get the deal done on time. Caitlin Clark already mentioned that parties need to take a step back in their stance on the CBA terms. While the WNBA made some improvements to its offers, the players’ association also took the initiative (for the second time).
While the situation at the ‘W’ is a bit discouraging, CC’s college team is celebrating a major milestone, and the 2024 rookie also wants to be part of it.

Caitlin Clark With Special Word For Coach Jan Jensen
In her four seasons with the Hawkeyes, Clark made the side one of the entertaining and contender sides in the league. But after her departure, there was a huge ‘talent’ gap for the team. At the same time, her head coach, Lisa Bluder, announced her retirement, handing the reins to her assistant, Jan Jensen.
In her first season, the coach posted a 21-5 record, and in her second season, the Hawkeyes had already surpassed that mark, with four games still left in the season. While the Jensen became the first Hawkeye coach to record 20+ wins in the first two seasons, the 24-year-old defined the achievement in just one word: “Aura.”

But the player not only keeps in touch with coaches but follows the Hawkeyes rigorously. She lauded Chazadi Wright in adorable texts to Jensen and even criticized the referee’s decision against her former teammate.
Caitlin Clark Shows Support for Her Iowa Teammate
The Iowa team faced off against Fairfield midway through the regular season. It was difficult to declare a winner in an extremely close game as both teams fought for every possession. In the heat of the moment, Hawkeye’s Stremlow celebrated a bit too much and received a reprimand from the officials.
Not surprisingly, the Fever guard took to social media to speak about the ‘unfair’ call. In her post, she wrote, “No way they just gave stremlow a tech for that refs have to let the girls show emotion.”

The side went on to win the game 86-72 with a strong second-half performance. Right now, the team holds a 21-5 record and is looking for another dream run in the NCAAW March Madness.
