Caitlin Clark is very busy at the moment. As the 2026 WNBA season is just around the corner, the Indiana Fever star is keeping no stone unturned to make this season a memorable one. According to recent reports, Clark might get a new partner in Gabriela Jacquez. But speaking about her partner, the news about the 24-year-old’s romantic relationship has left fans concerned.
The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year has been in a relationship with Connor McCaffery for quite some time now. She has been spotted supporting McCaffery at the Butler Bulldogs facility on several occasions. Surprisingly, a recent report claimed that Clark and McCaffery have decided to part ways.

Is There Enough Evidence To Support That Caitlin Clark And Connor McCaffery Are Through?
While the WNBA community is preparing itself for a historic season, shocking news came to the forefront recently. According to a claim by the X account ‘@ccgame,’ Clark and McCaffery have broken up. Now, this is quite unexpected news for the fans. That’s because the duo was thought to be the most stable couple in the sporting realm. And that immediately pops up the question-is the news true?
Thankfully for the fans, the news is probably a false one. There is no concrete proof that the Fever star broke up with her boyfriend. In fact, the post claiming their separation, too, could not provide a legitimate source of data to support the news.

As of 2026, the duo’s relationship is now 3 years old. Both Clark and McCaffery were students at the University of Iowa, where they first met. Before the WNBA came into the league, the two lovebirds started dating. Back in August 2023, the 2-time WNBA All-Star officially announced their relationship on social media as she captioned the post, “Best end to summer.”

Meanwhile, setting aside the false rumor, the Fever star has a lot on her plate. As speculations are growing about the 24-year-old’s Team USA absence, she recently made a point on whom the Indiana Fever must re-sign.
Caitlin Clark Asks Indiana Fever To Sign Kelsey Mitchell

Last year, injuries turned the Indiana Fever locker room into a mini-hospital. With most of the star players sidelined due to injury, nobody gave Stephanie White’s side a chance. But that didn’t happen as Mitchell took charge and powered the team to a semifinal run. Thus, coming into this season, Clark wants the team to retain Mitchell.
“I mean we were trying to win it all last year, that’s certainly what we’re trying to do this year. It’s a very unique situation. I think there’s over a hundred players in the league that are free agents, so we really only know about five people, or three people that are going to be on our team next year. But I feel like we have a great core. You know our first priority is to sign Kelsey Mitchell back,” Clark said.
