The 2024 Rookie of the Year winner had the strongest side in 2025, with many considering the Fever a favorite for the title. Sadly, she missed the majority of the season due to injury and played in only 13 games. But on the NBC show, she provided a positive update.
“I was just looking back at some old videos from when I was at Iowa and I can just tell how much my body’s changed in a good way…I only appeared in 13 games last year so I’m itching to get back…and I got USA basketball coming up,” Clark said.

Caitlin Clark Gets Real On CBA Discussions
The WNBA and WNBPA discussions have been going on for 13 months now. Despite the long period, there is very little progress on the topic, with three extensions already expired. Meanwhile, the WNBA declared its schedule for the 2026 season. Looking at the current situation, the Fever guard had a message for the WNBA and also to the WNBPA.
“Honestly, I don’t think it’s just a big moment for the WNBA, I think all of women’s sports. I think this is one of the biggest moments we’ve ever had. There’s a meeting tomorrow that’s super important. I truly do believe we’re going to get something done here in the next couple of weeks. There’s a lot of boxes that we still need to check (before a 2026 season). … But I really do feel confident,” Clark said.

The boxes league needs to check are expansion drafts, WNBA drafts, and reinstating free agency signings, which will take over a month, given the number of free agents available in the market.
